Hello Rock and Roll Children
of the Revolution will not be Televised,
Wha-Huh???? We're not really sure what that means either, but we are
just so excited for this Saturday that we can't really put full sentences
together,
frying pan Colossus at Rhodes Island dressing... see what we mean!?!?!
This Saturday is our last show of '05 and our last show for a couple months!!!
We're gonna take a little time off from giggin' so that we can finish
writin our new tunes before we go into the studio this coming Feb.
Soooooo... with that being said, YOU SHOULD ALL COME OUT TO THIS SHOW!!!!
(Unless, of course, if you are not at least 21 yrs old OR if you have some
strange aversion to
lovely female bodies undulating for dollars, trash-can onyx blue blistered
funk soul brotha...)
DAMMIT, THERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!
Tue., Nov. 15th: Thanxious for last week and anxious for the next...
Hello boys and girls, fans and bands, friends

Well, Hi diddly Ho, Neglectarinos!!!
Sorry no e-mail last week, still nursing the wounds
from the fierce battle @ McAuliffe's two weeks ago...

Luckily, missin' an e-mail didn't effect the turn-out

Thanks to Wingnut and Sharkey's for havin us!
NOW, It's the Time WE'VE ALL WAITED FOR!!!
We RETURN --THIS FRIDAY-- To RACINE!!!

least one of 'em.
We'd thank everybody for comin' out to Fond Du Lac
last weekend, BUT NONE OF YOU CAME!!!! You all missed
a great show! We made some new friends: Vile Red, and
Ripp Winkler were f^@#in' incredible, and Rictus and
NSOA closin' the show: how can ya beat that? Well, ya
missed it! Thanks to Straightline for puttin' it all
together!
Wed., Sep. 14th: Cable Access Show airs TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
Sorry for the LAST MINUTE warning, but as we said,
we'd tell you all AS SOON as we knew. Kinda bogus, we
know!
But here's the deal: THURSDAY, SEPT. 15th (TOMORROW)
showing @ both: 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm
on RACINE cable (and digi-cable) CHANNEL 25
(sorry to all my Satellite brethren)...
WE HAVE NOT SEEN THE TAPE YET, so we cannot vouch for
the audio/video quality, but the performance felt good
that day, so it should be worth tuning in!!!
That said: thanks to everyone who came out to the
party last week, and BIG OL' THANKS to Scoot and Shave
for havin' us out! A BIG BLAST was had by all!!!!
Wed., Sep. 7th: Sad News, Lame News, and the BEST NEWS EVER!!!
Sorry to start ya off with a real bummer:
A good old friend in the Snooky mythology, an
x-drummer for Rictus Grin and Fade, and the absolute
life of every party he ever attended, AARON BUCHANAN
is no longer with us. We all love and miss you,
Aaron. So cry, or pray, or light a candle, or pour
some of yer beer out (or whatever you normally do) for
an old friend of ours...
Now some Lameness:
If you attended the taping of our spot on the RON
PURTEE SHOW on cable access: the interview session
was, sadly, lost... However, it looks like our
performance will be fully salvageable!!!! We should
know in a few days when it will air, WE'LL KEEP YA
POSTED!!!
FINALLY SOME GREAT NEWS: WE ARE PLAYING LIVE THIS
SAT!!
It's been six long months, but SNOOKY is giggin'
again, and we'll be out the next two Sat's in a row...
then comin' full-blast in Oct. w/ a slammed schedule.
Tue., Aug.16th: FEW SEATS LEFT FOR THURS. TV TAPING!!! ACT NOW!!!!
Yes, it's true we do have a couple-few seats left for
our cable access TV spot on THIS THURSDAY!!! If you
want in REPLY to this e-mail IMMEDIATELY, and we'll
get you all the details. (hint: It starts @ 6pm so ya
gotta get there on time.) It's only two days away, so
REPLY NOW, Y'all!!!
Also on the SNOOKY front: we gotta buncha new shows
booked. We're gonna keep it slow and simple at first,
then in October we'll be more tenacious, as was the
SNOOKY of old. Expect more updates on the snooky.tv
'shows' page.
*** We know we promised new pics: they're coming soon,
and we apologize for the delay... They'll be worth it!!
Last Note B4 show announcements: A long-time
friend of
SNOOKY has passed away. One of the major promoters of
our music, LAZER 103 helped SNOOKY in numerous ways
over the last 6 yrs. Marilynn and Marcus gave us
constant spins on the Local Lix show and were
instrumental in getting us on the Summerfest Rock
Stage for 4 yrs. straight. Good Luck to Marilynn and
Marcus in whatever they get into, and LAZER R.I.P
(1987-2005).
Sat., Aug. 6th: This is the dawning of the Age of Snooky 2.0 ... Age of Snooky 2.0OOOOHH!!!
Yes, it has come! We are back
in full effect, y'all!!! We've got some great new material, and we're dyin
to
get out there and play it for ya!! In fact our whole Snooky organization has
had some big ol' changes, lets
review:
1. The website is lookin' different.
A sleeker design is already in effect, and changes are being made
constantly. Please join our new Forum: it's like a Guestbook on crack! &
Keep checkin' in, as we shall be
adding a TON of new pictures of the NEW LINE-UP, streaming video, audio files,
personal bios, and
whatever else we think of!!!
2. If you don't already know,
there's this dating and singles website that is virtually a legal on-line
sex catalog
called MYSPACE.com . . . luckily, rock bands can blog too: SO WE GOT ONE.
C'mon and join the orgy
at www.myspace.com/snookytv
3. What was the third thing?
. . . hmm? oh yeah: THE NEW LINE-UP!!!!! That Bill guy?!?! Well, we really
need to dish out the info on this cat:
a. William Edward May, but EVERYONE calls him
BILLY EDDIE.
b. He is a FRATERNAL TWIN. This means he and
his brother were NEVER the same person.
c. He has trouble driving and eating CRUNCHWRAPS
at the same time. Not so portable.
d. He broke his heels jumping off a 5 ft. high
porch!!! (Who would do a thing like that?!?!?)
4. WE ARE ALREADY BOOKING SOME GIGS, Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!
Our first appearance is not actually
a Gig, but a TV show. Racine's Cable Access channel (25 on any Cable,
sorry my Satellite brethren) is going to film us playin' some tunes and interview
us in front of a
captive audience. Sadly, the event is extremely LIMITED seating and most of
the spots are already
filled. We should have A COUPLE of spots left... if you want to be on the
call list for seats, just write
back NOW as they will go fast!!!! We'll keep you posted on when the show is
airing!
THANX FOR STICKIN' AROUND TO SEE WHAT WE'VE GOT IN STORE THIS TIME AROUND!
WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!!!
Sat., Jun. 11th: WE'RE BACK!!!
THE SEARCH IS OVER, FOLKS!!!
OUR NEW AXE-MAN IS BILL
MAY (NO RELATION TO QUEEN'S GUITARIST, BRIAN). YOU
MIGHT REMEMBER BILL AS ONE OF THE CHILD-PIRATES FROM
OUR JAN. '05 FANS OF THE MONTH. SINCE THEN, BILL HAS
LEFT THE SEA-FARING LIFE AND PICKED UP THE GUITAR,
LUCKY FOR US . . . AND YOU! WE THINK YOU'RE GONNA LOVE
THE NEW SOUNDS!!!
WE'RE GONNA KEEP ON WRITIN' FOR A FEW
MORE MONTHS, SO
WE CAN COME OUT SWINGIN' WITH A WHOLE SLEW OF NEW
MATERIAL . . . AND MAYBE A FEW OLD-SCHOOL TREATS!!!
WE'LL KEEP Y'ALL POSTED ON ALL THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS!!!
Rusty has already started the web-site
redesign. Photo
page changes, guestbook/forum changes and a new
overall look and feel to snooky.tv!!! Go check it out!
There's a pic of the NEW LINE-UP and a SWEET new FORUM
for y'all to tell us how much we SUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!
WE'LL KEEP YA POSTED ON ALL NEW DEVELOPMENTS
AND WHEN
WE'LL BE READY TO GIG!!! SEE YA SOON!
Love,
TONY, CAL, TERRY, & BILL
Sat., May 28th: peek-a-boo
Hello, good people
of Snooksterville,
It has been quite a long time, we know.
Many of you have been e-mailing and signing the guestbook. Many
questions... SO HERE'S THE SKINNY ON SNOOKY:
We have been diligently scouring the countryside!!
Looking in every dumpster and stairwell for the new blood! We've had some
VERY interesting prospects, and
now we're just trying to whittle down, weed out, and hone in!!! Should be
only short time before we know...
To the other recurring question: Nope. We shant be at Summerfest this year.
At this point there would
be no chance of really putting together a proper set in time... But maybe,
if we all cross our fingers,
we'll get an invite next year!!!
In the mean-time, we've all been keepin' real busy: Anyone who knows Terry,
knows he has been
spendin' his hiatus playin' video games. He would like to announce his engagement
to his PSP!
Cal has spent most of his time at Coaster's: either workin' or on the other
side of the bar.
He would like to announce his quest to end world sobriety!
Me, I've been writin' again. If ya wanna check it out, go here: http://www.theliquidpages.com/index.php?id=drinksWineTony
I'd like to announce that Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" has clutched
the worst song of 2005, and it's only May!
WE LOVE EVERY ONE OF YOU AND
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU
ALL!
TONY, TERRY, AND CAL
Mon., Apr. 4th: FOR ONE LAST TIME, WE NEED Y'ALL TO BRAWL!!!!
WELL, MAYBE NOT LAST!!!
BUT LAST FOR A WHILE!!!
Yup, This Friday will be the last Snooky show before we enter the GREAT UNKNOWN!!!
Taking a (hopefully) SHORT hiatus, while we finish the guitarist search...
SOOOOO... We need to see ALL our SEWIrr SNOOKY peeps up in MIL-TOWN for the
party to end all parties... If you miss it, quite simply: YOU SUCK!!!
ALL KIDDING ASIDE: Thanks for supporting us over the years... and we hope
to see ya again REALLY SOON!!!
Wed., Mar. 23rd: 2 WEEKS LEFT OF SNOOKY 1.5!!!
LAST WEEK: LONGEST E-MAIL EVER...
(besides year in reviews, those tend to run on)
THIS WEEK: TO THE F@&#IN' POINT!!!
1 PIECE OF BAD NEWS: DUE TO SCHEDULING ERRORS
WE HAD TO CANCEL THE STEVENS POINT SHOW ON april 8TH
SORRY TO ALL THE POINT PEEPS, WE'LL BE BACK SOON!
AND THANKS TO Silik, Tree of Woe & Planet of 9!!!
3 SHOWS LEFT. 3 CITIES. 3 FRIDAYS IN A ROW.
YOU GOTTA MAKE AT LEAST 1 OF THEM, THEY'RE GONNA ROCK!
THIS WEEK IT'S ALL ABOUT RACINE!!!
Tue., Mar. 15th: WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK!!!
WE HAVE INCREDIBLE NEWS IN THE WORLD OF SNOOKY,
FOLKS!!! IN THESE UNSURE TIMES, WHERE ONE DAY WE ARE
ROCKING THE MIDWEST . . . AND THE NEXT,FAR TOO MUCH
VIDEO GAMING AND FAR TOO MUCH TIME IN BARS!!!
...well WE'RE BACK!!! . . . and just in time,
huh?!?!?
WE WILL BE PLAYING FOUR GIGS IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.
TWO WILL BE IN THE SEWIrr, AND TWO ACROSS STATE!!!
...and all of this is possible BECAUSE OUR NUTTY-ASS
BUDDY/WEBMASTER: RUSTY JORGENSEN!!! Rusty went off and
crammed all night to learn a nice little smattering of
our tunes, so that we could finish out as many of our
shows as possible. (He doesn't know this yet, but the
haizing beginssssss...... NOW!!!)
A LITTLE INSIGHT INTO OUR GOOD PAL RUSTY: Rusty
has been a good buddy of ours since we met him playing
in a early version of LITHIC. He is from Racine, has
red hair, likes Megadeth, Sevendust, hockey, and
Mike's hard lime. He also designed our current website
(and for the lifers, the old flash site that shook
every time you clicked on it.) You might recognize him
as he (and his wife, Ann) have previously been Fans of
the Month!!! Oh, and like the rest of us he has a
mild skin condition, so he fits right in...
SOOOO!!!! Come on out to these last 4 shows
before we take some time to see what direction we are
going!!
THE GUITARIST SEARCH IS STILL ON!!! We are going to
take our time and make sure we are doing what's best
for the band AND the fans!!! We've got a lot of GREAT
guitarists interested already, we'll see what happens.
FOR NOW... JUST COME OUT TO THESE SHOWS, CHECK
OUT A DIFFERENT SIDE OF SNOOKY-VILLE, AND BUY RUSTY A
MIKE'S HARD LIME!!!! Last Notes: NEW FOTM is up
now!!!
AND there's supposed to be a mention in this Thurs's
Journal Times (thanks P-Addy!!) Keep yer eyes
peeled!!!
Fri., Feb. 25th: Snooky looking for a new guitarist
Ok, everybody. Here's the deal.
SNOOKY have officially parted ways with our guitarist, Eric Jochum. So as
you can imagine, we will be
cancelling at least our fastest approaching shows, and possibly all shows
currently booked. We ARE immediately
seeking a replacement, and hope to be back on our feet as soon as possible.
The homepage of the website
( www.snooky.tv ) has become a giant ad for a new axe-man, and features all
of the necessary
instructions for trying out. We are very sorry to anyone looking forward to
the upcoming
shows, and anyone generally bummed out by this news. This is going to be a
strange time...
but hopefully you'll all stick with us through the metamorphosis.
If you wanna ask anything, or just say your peace, visit the guestbook on
the website and holla if you gotta.
Thanks a bunch,
Tony, Terry, Cal

Wed., Dec. 22nd: '04 Year in Review . . . and hopes for a brighter tomorrow!!!
ANOTHER YEAR . . . ahh!!! Another wrinkle, another grey hair,
another 20,000 miles on the tour-van! Well lets take a glance-back on the
year that was . . .
January: We started the year with a bang: 100 shows!!! And
then a few weeks later: BANG! Our new favorite Milwaukee Club, THE ROCKSHOP,
burns to the ground. A BIG loss for the city, and the scene as well. 2 bright
sides: EVERYONE WAS SAFE and a GIANT outpouring of support from the Mil-town
Rock community!
Late Winter: Band stumbles on a new home on the WEST-SIIIIYYYEEED
and a new Crew to go with it: Big Shout-out to HOLLOWPOINT, 324 Live, and
the whole LaCrosse Scene!!! We celebrated by actually putting FUN THINGS TO
DO on our web-site (although that's still questionable)!!!
Spring 04': AWESOME SHOWS!!!! 1. WHISKOOKINATIHATEFIGHTGRINFEST:
one of the greatest shows ever!!!! 2. 1st Chicago Show in LONG TIME!!! Thanx
Sauder. 3. Great Northern IL. shows! 4. Great LaCrosse Shows! 5. THE ROCKSHOP
RE-OPENS!!!!
June: June was goofy: We lost stuff at (drumroll please)
. . . EVERY SHOW!!!! Gig bags, drum-keys, shoes . . .you name it, we lost
it!!! PLUS: the goofiest in-state road trip ever (up to Stev. Point then down
to Richmond) in fact that Richmond show was pretty goofy on it's own (two
words: DUNK TANK) . . . and if you were Backstage at SUMMERFEST with us, you
surely saw a re-definition of the word GOOFY!!!!
Late Summer: We continued our frantic gigging pace (we actually pulled
off 47 shows this year and would have done 54 with no cancellations) including
the first ever SEWIrrfest!! A celebration of South-Eastern Wisconsin's under-ground
rock scene!!! If ya missed the bus, oops on you!!! In between shows we managed
to squeeze out a new puppy: a cute little 3-song puppy that we all forgot
to name!!! Let's just call it "3-song Demo '04" Awww!!
September: Two giant milestones: The 1/2 rebirth of BLOODBASH!!!
(back in rare form) and our 1st ever MADISON show . . . don't know why, but
GOD that took a long time!!!
Fall '04: With the exception of the ever-elusive, much-hyped,
ultimately-disappointing Skatepark show, Autumn was jam-packed with shows!!!
We pretty much concentrated on playing to our strongest fanbases this year
(as you all know)!!! With the addition of LaCrosse and Mad-town as new ports,
we plan to sail outward next-year as much as possible, relying on our big
Wisconsin scenes, and our new connex in IL, to try and jump-start a bigger
enterprise!!! We may not saturate yer city as much, but when we do, we're
gonna make 'em HUGE . . . and we promise: WAY MORE ALL AGES SHOWS!!!
Thanks for bein' with us another year, and makin' our job soooo easy!!!
. . . now pour one out for those who've left us this year: ILLUMINATI, SECTION
8 (or did they?), The CARBON PARLOR, PROPDOWN, WHISKEY REBELLION (in a couple
weeks), SHUDDER, LEVEL (no, not T2's old band), MAi, and A LESSER EXISTENCE!!!
also actual RIP's for DIMEBAG DARREL, JOHNNY RAMONE and ODB!!!
. . . on a brighter note: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAP HAP HAPPIEST NEW YEAR's!!!
Wed., Dec. 8th: REALLY GOOD NEWS and NOT THAT BAD of NEWS!!!
Well, which do you want first?
. . .waiting . . .
. . . well?!?!?!
. . . our choice then!
GOOD NEWS: WE ARE PLAYING AN ALL AGES SHOW and
it's actually down in SouthEastern WISCONSIN!!!!! January
15th @ the Rave!!!! And a hella line-up it is!!!! WE
HAVE TICKETS IN ADVANCE FOR $5
(save $3 off the door)
slightly bad news: WE ARE TOTAL SELL-OUTS!!! Yep, it's true, boys and girls!
We will do anything to make it . . . So, as of January 1st we will be. . .
going DISCO!!! Now, to some of you this may be a
welcome change, as we hear that it's making a big come-back!
JUST KIDDING GUYS!!! We'd never sell out that bad . . . just this bad:

ok, here's the deal . . . We partied like it was 1999 B.C. @ McAuliffe's last
Fridee REAL SERIOUS PARTY Georgetown stylee most bands would crumble, y'all
but WheelieB and tha Hollow don't never fumble the ball So in tha mornin'
tha SNOOK was hungover groanin' how we gonna do it all over again . . .
STOP . . . wait . . . here's the joint we gotta get the crew to Stevens Point
Beneficial and officially the biggest f*%$in' show we ever been in in the
Mission I'm talkin' what's wit tha b*%$#es screamin' creamin' like they seein'
the Beatles, forreal!
However clever this weekend endeavor . . . if you lose the directions my suggestion
is to progress into the hotel reception desk request a bed for rest. . .
DON'T CRASH OUT IN THE VAN IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION
AND OPEN INTOXICANTS CLEARLY VISIBLE WHEN A FLASHLIGHT TAPS ON YOUR WINDOW
AT 8:30 IN THE MORNING AND YOU BLOW .08!!!!
. . .as we say all the time . . . WE'RE STUPID!!! (and sorry I rapped all
that . . . I'm jammin' the new Snoop for the 1st time, and I guess it took
over) . . .
Wed., Nov. 24th: Corrections, Cranberries, and Canned Goods
To all our LaCrosse and Stevens Point ninjas:
YEP, WE'RE STUPID sometimes, here at Snooky-central!!! Last weeks e-mail (as
those of you who do not automatically delete these li'l gems would know) mentioned
a up-coming visit to LaCrosse . . . IT DOESN'T EXIST!!!
This was most likely a brain-fart of the "fusion" kind. This is
where two bits of information are spliced together by replacing details of
the one, with choice cuts from the other. In this case, noticing that we are
playing w/ our LaCrosse home-boys, HOLLOWPOINT this Friday, one might assume
that our Saturday gig destination of the MISSION COFFEE HOUSE in Stevens Point
was simply swapped w/ the factoid from the prior engagement . . . much like
when Indiana Jones slides the bag of sand into the position previously held
by the golden statuette.
That being said, have turkeys and cranberries (just cranberries for vegans),
and our friends WHEELIEBAR are playing @ McAuliffe's this Friday, and there's
a big benefit that Planet of 9 and Shattered Red are playin @ on Sat. in Stev.
Pt. . . . SO IF YOU CAN'T GO TO OUR SHOWS, GO TO THOSE ONES!!!!!!
Wed., Nov. 17th: TO
ALL THE (insert appropriate gender) WE'VE LOVED BEFORE!!!
I t has been a long hard road, this one we've
traveled together these past five years. Arduous, some might say. Yet, we
must surmise that the only way we could have made it thusfar, would have to
have been as one; together on said road. It was you, who was there when we
won our first, only, and most clearly rigged, battle of the bands! And again,
it was you, there, the first time we played Chicago, and Cal snapped his bass
in half! So, dear friends, we can only hope that it was you, watching gleefully,
last Saturday as Cal, for the second time, SNAPPED HIS BASS IN HALF!!!
. . . As we say every show, WE ARE PROFESSIONALS!!!
We have to thank everyone who came out and donated their time, love, and loot
for the Masons. The benefit was a huge success, and the family really seemed
to enjoy the support!!!
The next 3 weeks are packed w/ really cool shows, up in our four funkiest
towns!! We'll be seein' all our SHEBOYGAN, RACINE, LaCROSSE and MADISON ninjas,
so if that applies to you, mark yer calendar . . . and we'll bring our Callender!!!
. . . And maybe he'll break his bass for y'all again!?!?!?
Wed., Nov. 3rd: SHORT BUT SWEET!!
. . .just wrote a huge e-mail . . . clicked wrong icon . . . lost whole e-mail . . . I'm dumb!
SHORT VERSION:
Soooo
. . . Frog-a-went-a-courtin' . . . he did right, Crambone!
And we here at SNOOKYCENTRAL, we aim to do ya right, too!!
We have to thank everyone @ the Main Stage in Waukesha, and Lithic and Splynedrive
for great shows, and esp. all those who came out . . . I'm not sure if it
was crowd-surfing, per se . . .but it was stage-diving at least!!!
. . .we have a forgot to mention, that we must mention . . . @ our Klinic
show 2 wks ago, we got to meet new 94.1 wjjo Local Stage host, Kurt Baron.
He's a hella cool guy, and apparently he digs the Snook, cuz we're gonna be
FEATURED ARTISTS on this Sunday's show . . . an interview and some tune-age,
and some decent promo for our Dec. 4th return to the Klinic!!!
Wed., Oct. 20th: '04 Over-Exposed in the SEWIrr Tourr
Hello Good Personages of the Snooky Fanclub,
We speak again.
Nutty-Nutty-Nutty things have been a-brewin' since we spoke . . .
A truly inexplicable show in Sheboygan, possibly the kind that becomes legend...
We've seen many odd times in our little Vegas away from Vegas, but this one
. . .
Another odd little show @ our new fav. Madison club: The Klinic!!!
...and our introdux to Droids Attack and Awesome Car Funmaker: 2 amazing bands!!!
We also announce the sad departure of our friends LEVEL ;(
It was nice to have a LEVEL in Wisconsin again ... good luck to all involved!
AND NOW A MONTH AND A HALF OF SNOOKY IN THE SEWIRR . . .

We'd like to see another 50 or so people vote, so we really know what y'all think!!
SPEAKIN' OF GETTIN' MORE PEOPLE TO THE SITE: We are right now @ 99 entries on the guestbook: ENTRY # 100 gets a FREE PIECE of SNOOKY MERCH. of their choice!!!!! Now, if you get there and someone already won, you can still sign it, anyway!

Wed, Jun. 9th: a message of love, faith, and lotsa Snooky
Howdy Snooky folks and friends and fans,
The news around here at Snooky Central has been mostly about just that, what's new. We've been workin' our tails off to get everything up and running for Summerfest . . . New Tunes, New T's, New Cd's, New & Improved Website . . . as much as we can possibly get done before ours and your favorite gig of the year!!! AND MAN IS THIS YEAR LOOKIN' GOOD!!!!
For starters, FRIDAY JUNE 25th @ 6:30 PM on the ROCK STAGE. . . it's an absolute honor to get a slot like that, so COME ON OUT, and show these guys they haven't made a mistake!!! 2ndly, what a line up!!!! As we recently promised, website devotees will be seeing some new features @ www.snooky.tv We are now naming our FAN OF THE MONTH!!! Hopefully one day you will all have been one. 'Til then, go see who beat y'all!!! Further down the homepage, you'll also see our new poll!!! PLEASE VOTE ON THIS ONE, we could all benefit by this question being answered!
We've also got two stellar parties this weekend: Friday up in Stevens Point, and Saturday down in Richmond. So put your plans on hold and get to one of these parties. Who knows, maybe you'll become our next FAN OF THE MONTH!!!
Thu, May 20th: Just the fax, ma'am
Howdy E'erbody, one last ride
on the Yahoo! rollercoaster. Just workin' out the final bugs over at snookycentral@snooky.tv
. Things are real hectic here at the SNOOKY HQ, so we'll be brief. . . BIG
THANKS TO HOLLOWPOINT, the FAKE THING, ONSET OBLIVION, and TO BLEED FOR, Last
weekend was out of hand. UDONTNO's b-day was O.T.C. (figure it out!!!), and
the 13 min. Guiness record set-up time was only a mere shadow of the mythical
and outrageous events that would transpire last Sat. night in LaCrosse. UNREAL!!!!
Hmmm . . . what are we missin???? ONLY THE BOMB-ASS THREE-DAY GRAND RE-OPENING
OF THE MUDDAH FUDDIN ROCK SHOP!!!! Our show on Sat. 4th was a huge success,
thanks to all that came out. And, most importantly, a huge shout-out, love,
moment of silence, prayer, or whatever belief-system you choose to Nate of
WKT and esp. to his Pa. Much love.
The long rumored, much awaited, thoroughly procrastinated new disc is . .
. still not done!!!!! DON'T FRET, little ones . . . a certain BIG-ASS festival
might be an apt deadline! Beyond that, prepare for some great shows coming
up . . . YO EVERYONE, BUY TIX FOR THE BUSTRIP, YOU DON'T WANNA MISS THIS!!!
E-mail us NOW at snookycentral@snooky.tv and we can hook you up, ahhight!?!?!?
That is all . . . told you we'd be brief . . .
Thu, May 6th: LAST MINUTE ALERT!!!! ACT NOW!!!!
Howdy Snooky folks and friends and fans,
We realize that you have all heard this half a million times, but here it is again . . . SORRY IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE WROTE, but this time we promise the reason holds water.
So Tony, drummer and primary e-corresponder, sits down to send out last-weeks e-mail, only to find that our good friends at Yahoo! have kicked us off their wonderful li'l service. After nothing short of blood sweat and tears trying to rectify the problem, it seems as if the 'terms of the Yahoo! contract' clearly state that they can terminate our service WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE!!!! I.E.: no e-mail last week!!!!
Now, if any of you know said drummer/e-beeyatch you can imagine a fit of monster proportions was pitched . . . to seemingly no avail. Back-up recruits were enlisted. Our prior web-master set up a sweet-ass new e-mail, based out of our sweet-ass website, http://www.snooky.tv/ .
So Tony sits down today to set up the address-book through our new system, and on a whim checks out Yahoo! and they've magically come to their senses and relinquished our banishment!!!! DAMN RIGHT!!! We're leaving anyway; this will most likely be the last e-mail you receive from our Yahoo! account . . . so long, stinktown!!!!!!!!
That being said, WE HAVE SHOWS IMMEDIATELY, that you need to check out!!!! THIS WEEKEND EVEN!!!! ALL AGES show in Waukesha on FRIDAY the 7th, THE ROCK SHOP re-opening on SAT. the 8th, Friday the 14th @ McAuliffe's, Hollowpoint's CD release Sat. the 15th in LaX, AND A MONSTER BUS-TRIP to McHenry, IL . . . w/ RICTUS LARRY drivin the bus!!!!!! (adv. tix avail. immed.) . . . ohh, yeah we also got a certain really big festival gig, we think you might have heard of, too!!!
We love you all, thanks for your support, and keep on checkin' out local music!
Wed., Apr. 14th: We missed you, d'ya miss us?
WELL FRIENDS . . . It's been a few weeks since our last correspondence. We've been meaning to get in touch for quite some time, however the lines have been busy, our dogs ate our homework, and our pants were on fire!!!
Actually we have been planning the upcoming assault of shows that begins in late April, and recovering from the debauchery and melee that occurred at our last few shows. Speaking of which, we want to give big ups to Hollowpoint and Section 8, for putting us up and putting up with us in the last couple weeks!! Much appreciated!! You guys both know how to take care of incoming bands, and definitely know how to throw an after-bar . . . that reminds us . . . WHO BAR-B-QUE's @ 5 AM? SHEVEGAS, that's who! Umm . . . that was the second party what about the first? Super big thanks to Stacy and Pam: Mirror Me will never be the same!!!!! And by the way, what about LaCrosse?!?!?! How did we not find this place before? People just pour into that 324, and then poured into the jamspot, and then poured a lotta drinks into their throats! LAX we're comin' back to get ya!!!!!!
Local shows were loco as well! Whiskookynatihatefightgrinfest was a success, the crowd was ablaze and the Whiskey Rebels were blazed . . . yep, a success! And what a cool nite @ McAuliffe's with our old-school homies Reason for Leaving coming down from Mad-town, and Night # 1 of the "Ex-tension 8" super weekend (P.S. I know who drew on me! Yer lucky I think that s#!t's funny!!!!)
That being said, we also want to apologize to anyone who took the Paddy Finneran April Fool's Day article in the Journal Times seriously. WE ARE NOT PLAYING OZZFEST THIS YEAR, although if that were to be we would certainly not argue!!! It was a great article, one of Paddy's best, and if you missed it check out the website homepage for a quick lynk.
We also got a big shoutout from a good friend of our good friends Leviathan's Choir, featured in the C.C. section of their website. Check out our lynks page for access to it. She made us sound cooler than we are, and it's much appreciated, Corinne.
That's about it for now, check out the gigs we got comin' up . . . should be one near you soon. Thanks for stoppin' and checkin' out a li'l ol' band from Racine!
The Guys of Snooky
P.S. Congrats to Wheeliebar, Nuna, and the Sandcarvers for their recent successes, we read all about them in the Journal Times.
Wed., Mar. 17th: JUST IN OFF THE WIRE
Snooky News
SNOOKY SOLDIERS DEEP IN TRENCHES OF STUDIO WARFARE!!!
AP, Los Angeles It has been said that in the deepest jungle, the mighty jungle. . . that, that. . . the lion sleeps tonight. As that may be true, it applies not to this story. When we last saw our fearless crusaders they were deeply entrenched in the boggy murk of the studio. As today's episode begins, we find them in essentially the same place . . . but not without some victories! One out of the three originally marked targets has been OBLITERATED!!! With only two tactical studio maneuvers remaining, it is believed that our commandos should retrieve the prized demo that our coalition has been coveting before all the leaf-bearing trees come to fruition.
Also: BRAND NEW SNOOKY MERCH IS HERE
You wanted it, and now you got it, kids!!! Sweatshirts and T's bearing the new "Snookus Grin" logo are available in a plethora of sizes at the upcoming shows or if you tackle one of us in the street!
WE DO HAVE A BIT OF BAD NEWS!!!
We dropped some hints and straight out told some people about a poss. bus trip to the "WHISKILLUHATE SNOOGRINFEST" @ Vnuk's Lounge on April 3rd . . . it is lookin' like timing, $$$$, and miscommunication has left us without that option. That doesn't excuse anyone from missing it though. We're rockin' Dave's new acoustically re-engineered hall, and with some of WI's heaviest hitters. . .just no bus. We apologize to those who seemed really interested in that idea, we'll do something like that soon for another show. Sorry, again.
That said, If you don't catch one of our next couple shows, go see someone else's, they need yer support, too.
Thanks,
the guys.
Tues., Feb. 24th: YO MONEY SHOT is SHOT
HEY EVERY BODY : The E-mail
Transponder programme here at Hangar 12/U18 has changed do not be alarmed
. . . more later. . . for now . . .
Huzzah!
those boys in Snooky are recording a teaser 3 song demo!
as of now the demo is yet untitled, although inside sources that requested
not to be identified are hinting that "it will, eventually, get a name."
more on this breathtaking story as details become available!
Snooky to play Stevens Point, La Crosse
Snooky returns to the Mission Coffee Cafe and Den of Iniquity in rustic Stevens
Point, Wi on friday the 27th of February, 2004 for an all ages show. The cost
of entry should be very inexpensive, especially when you consider the fact
that there are three other great bands on the bill that night: Agent Zero,
Beyond Therapy, and A Lesser Existance. That alone should ensure that what
can only be called a "throng" of people should be on hand that night.
When asked to describe the scene of past Snooky shows at the cafe, one patron,
who asked not to be identified, summed it up best: "who? oh, those guys."
LA CROSSE AWAITS FIRST SNOOKY SHOW
February the 28th will mark the first time the rock band Snooky will perform
at 324live in La Crosse, Wi alongside Hollowpoint and Beyond Therapy. Residents
are being advised on safety measures in case they encounter this performance.
Some of the tips include: 1) if you see a member of Snooky while at 324live,
try not to make direct eye contact. This could result in you feeling pity
for that bandmember causing you to shill out a couple of dollars to buy shots.
pennicillin shots. 2) if you are a newbie to the Snooky experience, purchasing
merchandise (cd's, t-shirts, etc) is a good way to ease the transition into
the Snooky subculture. This not only assures you instant "cool"
status with band members, it can also help end the starvation these creatures
surely face. When asked for comment about the bands upcoming concert, one
La Crosse resident, who requested not to be identified responded, "who?"
More and these and other Snooky stories next edition, including an update
on the Thoughts for Food benefit show March 6th at Coasters in Racine!!
excellsior!
well hello all! just firing off a quick line to tell folks to stop on out to Vnuks i
